하나씩의 핸디캡을 가지고 있는 세친구,
사랑을 떠나보내는 여자,
넘어져도 혼자 일어나야 하는 아이,
자살을 결심하고 탑꼭데기에 오른 한남자.
결국 모두모여 나른한 휴식을 함께한다.
'해결될 수 없는 외로움’. 결국엔 속 시원한 답이 없고, 혼자서 그것을 극복하거나 혹은 주위사람들과 함께 함으로 나름의 해결을 구한다. 혼자만 앓고 있는 거창한 철학적 고민들이 쓸모없는 몽상에 지나지 않아지기도 하고, 괴로웠던 번민들은 단순한 물리적 욕구에 한순간 볼품없어 지기도 한다. 출발점도 이유도 다르지만, 누구나가 가지고 있는 해결 될 수 없는 외로움과 번민의 정체를 각기 다른 캐릭터들을 통해 따뜻하고 유쾌하게 표현하고자 한다.
Three friends, each carrying their own handicap.
A woman letting go of love.
A child who must stand up alone, even after falling.
A man who climbs to the top of a tower, having decided to end his life.
In the end, they all come together to share a languid moment of rest.
“An unsolvable loneliness.” There is, ultimately, no clear or satisfying answer. One overcomes it alone, or seeks a personal resolution by being with others. Grand philosophical worries, once borne in isolation, can turn out to be nothing more than futile fantasies, and agonizing anguish can, in an instant, become insignificant before simple physical needs. Though their starting points and reasons differ, everyone carries an unresolvable loneliness and inner turmoil. Through distinct characters, this work aims to portray the nature of that loneliness and anguish in a warm and lighthearted way.
